SEAN MCMILLAN'S SPECTACULAR WOODEN YACHTS.

Sean McMillan has been creating wooden boats for as long as he has been sailing. His immediate and extended family sailed and McMillan was drawn to the construction of boats from an early age by observing, studying and understanding. Before he started building boats, he received a degree in fine arts, which led to an extraordinarily successful career creating commercial art with an airbrush.

McMillan then found himself living in a wooden boat, inevitably of his own construction and established McMillan Yachts, which after some predictable new business challenges would become Spirit Yachts. Sean McMillan's yachts are entirely constructed of wood; a mix of sapele, Douglas fir, teak and other sustainably sourced timbers makes up their frames, their carcasses, their decks, their fittings.
