Penda crafts curved timber garden house for wood artist in beijing

House O is a small garden-residence created by Penda for a famous chinese wood-artist in Beijing, China. Taking note of the client's daily activities and needs due to their profession, the project presents itself as a tree trunk with its curved perimeter being capped by a circular roof whose materials exposed several layers of rings that further the analogy. located within its center is a courtyard space that links the levels of the house with an oculus shines down upon a spiraling staircase.
